It's actually pretty nice of you, OP. Honestly, now I'm just thinking of my sister--as soon as someone starts talking about something they like that she's not into (especially, heaven help us, if they've ever mentioned it before), she shuts down and will either flat out leave, all irritated, or she'll do the "that's nice, uh-huh" interjections so frequently and forcefully that whoever was talking stops awkwardly and feels like crap. It's seriously unpleasant.

On the other hand, most of my friends don't share all of our fandoms, but we all get a kick out of listening to each other talk about them. I don't know much about Legos or K-Pop, but my friends do, and like you said--their enthusiasm is enjoyable.
