Have you considered getting some help for it? Hoarding can interfere with your life and your relationships with people.

I have a hard time reconciling myself to the idea of people invading my home, telling me what I am allowed to keep, and basically telling me that I've fucked up my life so I no longer get to decide anything for myself.

Take heart, because that's *not* how it works. If you're not in control of it, it won't work. Plus - nobody will judge. There's a reason for stuff like hoarding, and it's not because you're a fuck-up.

I really am. The right person will do their best to help you get some insights and work for you to feel safe and comfortable. And if you *do* talk to someone, and just don't feel comfortable, you don't have to do anything you don't want to, you can call the whole thing off.
