i'm tired of the meme in fandom that hussie just does things to "troll" his readers

the story deliberately plays with or defies reader expectations a lot, but that's a narrative technique, not "trolling"

the story? not so much

out of the comic, though? you should see his blog entries (like in blogspot, he calmed down in tumblr), formspring answers, past comics, etc.

And it happens in comic sometimes.

I mean, sure. Lets go with a recent event. Did he intend to have the tricksters? I'm sure for a long time. But the Caucasian joke, that was added for one reason.

Or the bit where everybody clamors for gamzee's death, and wouldn't you know it, not only does he live, but apparently within the multiverse he will always live every time?

Hussie trolls. A lot.
