Devil's advocate, and not trying to be apologist, but it was implied that Tyrion was heavily under duress during that "reveal" that Tysha was a whore (and subsequent "punishment").

Just saying that it might not be totally applicable to hold that against him as a character.

But do feel free to hold it against GRRM. Lord knows he likes to trivialize rape.
