I loved Typical Heteronormativity Bandwagon's first LP, but they really went downhill when they changed bassists.

It just seemed like their whole tone changed, you know? At first, they had a real message, but after that...

The important thing is that they still are better then the alternative, shitty [minority of some sort] band that thinks it has a fucking message. Only hipsters and filthy worthless [minority of some sort]'s can even stand that shit if we be honest about it.

I'm afraid we have a case of yaoi hands here.

Neji died and TenTen had no real reaction to his death whereas NejiTen shippers thought she'd at least cry or unleash the fury... but she just acted like it was someone she had no real connection to.

Just to be clear: I'm NOT a Neji/TenTen shipper. And I'm not even a fan of Neji.

But I think you're an asshole rejoicing at his death. Your secret irks me because even though I've mostly washed my hands with Naruto and Kishimoto, hearing from friends that Neji was killed made me sad.

So your gloating annoys me, but carry on....I'm sure in some other fandom I'll gloat at a character's death and peeps will think I'm an asshole too. So we're square.

I guess Ship-Battles make assholes out of all us sooner or later.

Can we get over this whole getting angry at other people for their shipping preferences thing? It's pretty fucking juvenile.

Also, there is a lot more to this pairing than is immediately obvious. Call it a crackship or whatever, but I saw their canon built upon beautifully when I was still a fan of these two (I was thirteen, they have a special place in my fangirly heart, fuck off).

Why the hate against nejiten OP? It's not like "pairing the spares" is exclusive to het-shipping O_o

Thank you. I am gay* and I was a fan of nejiten for a longass time. It's not a case of heteronormative pairing of the spares; there is a legitimate basis for their relationship, their personalities work well together, and damn was the fic good way back when.

*obviously being gay doesn't give me some kind of final say on heteronormativity or the lack thereof, my experience/opinion is not everyone's experience/opinion, etc. etc. Just wanted full disclosure.

Oh no, straight people are shipping a straight pairing, better stop them and make them ship gay and lesbian pairings to save them from their heteronormity.

YeesSSsss. I was so happy seeing all the fangirl tears over their precious NejiTen. You thought there would be some kind of canon acknowledgement? You thought there would be a chapter dedicated to TenTen sobbing and questioning her existence after her precious Neji's death? Even if that was something smaller, they barely interacted in the main series (SD doesn't count imo). (And Kishi hates giving time to TenTen and female characters in general, ahem). I've always hated this vanilla-ass, boring beige pairing. /man I have been holding this back since I have some friends who ship it and were really upset... sorry, guys

For NejiTen, it's not even a matter of shipping them romantically... but even as friends TenTen's reaction (or lack-there-of) seemed like they were complete strangers. She didn't touch his body, like Lee did, she didn't cry or seem emotionally compromised in any way. Sure, you can say 'ninja's put duty above friendship' but even Hinata and Ino had room for tears on the battlefield.

I think people overinflated NejiTen's relationship due to fillers or the Naruto SD, because in the manga I think the only significant pairing moment was when Neji caught her from that water prison and they had a small moment (that could have even been filler too I'm not sure). Other than that Neji showed more concern for Hinata above everyone else.
