6. I 'unno. Fandom in general can be pretty horrible. :/ Some of IZ's fandom makes me laugh, actually. Maybe you're looking in all the wrong places. Or maybe I'm just outdated.

By the way, what's with all the angst about ZADR? That the pairing is so full of snark and crack and hate and competition it's just begging to be worked on in some manner. Is it the xeno thing? xD Just wondering.

ZADR when done well is FUN. I hate when people make the boys incredibly emo and/or girly. But I suppose that's a problem with any yaoi pairing in any fandom.

I really don't know why people hate ZADR so much. It probably is the Xeno thing. There are plenty of more implausible yaoi pairings out there that are acceptable because they are human and the characters are "omg so bishi!" Sometimes I feel like the fucking ZADR crusader, always getting in discussions with people who complain about it. XD Someone is going to hunt me down and murder me someday.

Yes, exactly. I'm almost certain it may be because it's just difficult to look at. xD However, what I don't get is that IZ's characters all lack that aesthetic appeal. I can't really say how it is now 'cause I haven't been in the fandom in awhile, but there have been a shitload of other fanfiction out there that didn't get quite as much scrutiny as ZADR. -Shrug.-

The whole alien/human thing doesn't squick me out as much as it should, I guess. I think it's because the irony of it all is that Zim acts more 'human' than he'd like to admit at times.
