Why would I care if I sound like an asshole? I'm anonymous on an internet forum. Even if I weren't, short of posting my name and address, everything here is unaccountable. As I said elsewhere, this was not for my sake, but for the OP's. I truly don't doubt them, so I wouldn't want them to think I do.

So, again, whether or not I've experienced triggers is totally irrelevant to what I actually said, which was that I believed OP because I wouldn't expect someone who was lying to themselves to have such a reaction.

So what you're saying here is that you don't care about what you say because you're anonymous, so it's unlikely that you're lying.. but at the same time, OP, who is also anonymous, could possibly be lying for attention/sympathy.
