Amy as a person is just 'meh' to me. My contention is more to do with her as a character that someone sat and wrote. That Moffat sat and wrote. From a writing point of few, there's too much thematic similarity between her and Donna for me to be OK with the fact that her storyline didn't live up to it's full potential.
And she is like Donna. I noticed it from her first ep and as the season progressed, the similarities just kept jumping out.
The fiery redhead who ends up in the TARDIS on the eve of her wedding? Who weird things keep happening around? Who's somehow absent for literally every cataclysmic alien-related thing that has been happening all around her? Whose life has been being manipulated by outside forces for who knows how long? Who ends up saving the universe due to the sheer Timey Wimey-ness of her brain?
It annoys me that she's thematically so much like this other awesome character and Moffat let her storyline flop and just skew into straight up craziness. He's notorious for reusing plot points and themes but he usually does it way better than this.

Also, um, I feel obligated to tell you this to stop you from embarrassing yourself: I can read your four other identical replies to the other people above. You don't have to repeat it every time, it just looks silly.
But I don't really care about that - it's all trivia. What really repulses me is that in a secret about Ten and Donna's wonderful, amazing, awesome friendship, you just decided to spew venom about a totally different character. That's beyond the pale in terms of fandom etiquette, as far as I'm concerned.

If you think fandom has etiquette in Fandom Secrets, then we differ in our modes of thought in more ways that just our feelings on Donna and Amy.

Of course this doesn't apply to people making personal attacks (I'm in the camp of 'get what you give' and I haven't done any of that).
