To those who defend Amy - imagine if she were male. Suddenly, forcing herself on the Doctor and slapping people repeatedly (because "I'm Scottish, tee-hee!") doesn't sound so "fiesty", does it?

Not the above anon, but I can't recall Donna slapping someone. What episodes or scenes did she do this, because all I recall is a lot of finger pointing and a shock smooching. I say this with curiosity and not as a way to say one companion is superior to another.

The first episode she's in she slaps the Doctor pretty damned hard. He was babbling and she was scared.

Yeah, Amy can be problematic at times. But this the secret had nothing to do with Amy, which is what people are annoyed at. In order to elevate one woman, why do we have to tear down another?

The real question is: does that aspect of Amy's character make her a clone of Donna? If your answer is "no," then you don't actually agree with the comment to which you've replied.
