Basically, Moffat loved the idea, he just didn't want a 'fatty' to have it, and recast it with a properly skinny leggy redhead he could fap to.

And yet it was RTD who wrote out Donna. And RTD-era companions have not been bad looking at all, especially the one-shot girls like Astrid and Reinette and Mars lady.

He's made too many sizeist comments about how he wouldn't cast fat ladies as companions.

Yeah sorry no, that would be RTD who wrote Donna out before Moffat was even hired as the next showrunner, because Catherine Tate was leaving. 0/10.

Also, there's the fact that Amy is kinda a vastly different character from Donna in terms of themes, relationships, character motivations, life experience, etc, even if she does have similarities. And even those similarities are borne of completely different situations that Moffat couldn't have used for Donna.

You mean he or someone else has called Catherine Tate a "fatty"? I mean, people act as if Donna were ugly all the time (which I also don't understand), but I've never heard anyone say anything about fat.
