Most people deserve to die. Can't say the same about dogs.

Don't worry, you'll grow out of that phase once you hit high school.

Animals are innocent. Humans aren't.

If Hannibal preyed on puppies people wouldn't like him nearly as much.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-28 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
How are animals innocent? They kill one another and do things that we would consider despicable out of instinct and a will to survive.

The wild is not some magical place where truth and justice and morality reign. It is a brutal, unforgiving place where only the strong make due. There is no innocence in a lion killing an antelope, or in a male meerkat raping a female. You are foolish to think otherwise.

Humans are far more despicable than animals Humans kill out of sheer spite and cruelty. Animals do what they do to survive; a lion kills an antelope to feed itself or its young. Humans kill out of spite.

Oops, thought I deleted the last sentence for redundancy. :/

There are so many instances of animals that kill for sport though. Look at a fucking cat with a mouse. You don't even have to get exotic!

and plus all the rape. DOLPHINS RAPE. They are actually intelligent enough to know what is going on too.

Animals are dark as fuck. Innocence is far less prevalent then you tree hugging Peta folks think.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-28 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
Do you really think what a cat does to a mouse is comparable at all to what humans do?

(Anonymous) 2013-01-28 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
Look at a fucking cat with a mouse

Do you know anything about cats or why they do that?

How is it possible that you've never heard of ants before? Ants are mad evil.

And you do know there are documented cases of ape serial killers.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-28 03:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Do I really have to spell it out? Animal behavior doesn't fall under human morality. Human behavior does. An ant doesn't have any concept of right and wrong.

[personal profile] thezmage 2013-01-28 04:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Which is why humans are better, because they have a sense of morality that allows for good behavior better than animals but no behavior worse than them.

Look, you can call me crazy, but I believe that slavery is wrong even if those practicing it are incapable of knowing better.
I believe that a species with empathy and morality is better than one without.
And I believe that you can't say humanity should behave better without the assumption that humanity is better. This whole "humans should be better, and that is why they're worse" thing makes no sense.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-28 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Which is why humans are better, because they have a sense of morality that allows for good behavior better than animals but no behavior worse than them.

You just proved my point.

Humans have a sense of morality yet we're still doing horrible things to each other. You judge ants for slavery when half of our country went to war for the right to continue using slaves.

And you're kidding yourself if you think our behavior isn't worse. Animals in the wild for starters don't drive other species to extinction.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-28 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Who grows out of that once they hit high school. Isn't that the golden period for that? Once they leave, maybe.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-28 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
Most dogs would fight other dogs to the death for a scrap of territory. They deserve to live no more than humans do.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-28 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
Except most civilized humans have a sense of morality that animals lack. We should know better. Animals don't.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-28 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
If your logic is "well animals do it too!" then what does that say about the human race if you're holding yourself up to their standards? It's like homophobes arguing that they're not intolerant because they don't stone gay people.

that really has nothing to do with what we are talking about. Your metaphor makes little sense.
