this works for people who you are actually friends with and who check their emails instead of riding on tumblr all day.

as much as I've tried to keep up with 'friends' by email, all I get in response is 'did you seem my *something on tumblr' and that's about the extent of the conversation.

it's like once you join tumblr, conversation skills wither and die, and all that's left is stupid pee-squee over images with no other substance to it. because, you know, being friends actually does require people to talk to each other every so often and not chunking another fucking gif at them.
