Hey. It actually had a really remarkably well-written and constructed plot from Seasons 1-5.

It really should have just ended there.

Agreed! S6 wavered back and forth but ultimately collapsed under its own weight (which was a shame as it had some good concepts that got lost in the execution) and S7 was just bad but S8 has been a whole lot more fun than I would have expected.

Agreed, I like S8 a lot more than I liked the others (we can thank Jeremy Carver's picking the show out of the grip of Sera Gamble) but I kind of want it to end SOON. This season, if not next season, because they have a beautiful setup for an end to the entire main Winchester plot (i.e., the gates of hell thing).

That's a good point. I've been rooting for Meg to come back and be the main baddie for a season - she's the daughter of Azazel, after all, and much as I love her, the boys having an epic showdown with her would be fitting.

But sealing off hell would work too. (Except that now they've introduced the 'angel tablet', and all the bullshit with Nadine, which makes me think stopping *her* will be the main plot.)
