Eh. I'm proud to be American (mostly) and I love my country, but i am fully aware of our shitty history and record around the world *and* here, and as far as i'm concerned, being American (or English, or Malaysian, or whatever) means (and i quote from Rude Awakening): I am an American. I am duty-bound to make my country better.

I get very, very sick of all the flag waving bullshite, and loathe 'American Exceptionalism'.
