Re: What would, or did, you name your kid?
Sorry, couldn't help myself. :DMy brother was almost named Isaiah Malakyah. I've always thought that was a really pretty mouthful. ...Not sure if I like it enough to name a kid that though.
I went through a phase where I was obsessed with the language of flowers so I would just like to randomly threadjack to mention that 'Sweet William' means "gallant smile", which could totally be applicable to your offspring. :D
In case anyone was interested, yellow tulips represent smiles reminiscent of the feeling of sunshine. And Japanese Cherry Blossoms mean "a smile from beauty," or something similar. It has been a while.
And, uh, while I'm on the topic for some reason
Iris is the greek goddess of the rainbow and traditionally represents hope and valor. In Japan it is associated with heroism. And then there are a ton more meanings associated with color.
Daisy is a mash up of "Day's Eye" because they bloom at dawn and are a symbol of innocent, loyal love. So... trobed's flower? ;) At one point they were associated with thunder because they bloomed during thunderstorm season.
All I remember about lilies are goddess milk and funerals so I'm just gonna leave that one alone...
