I have to agree with this. I went to a con once where this guy put together an absolutely amazing satyr costume. I mean, if you looked at him quickly, you'd swear he was truly a goat from the waste down. Unfortunately, he was completely unapproachable. I watched a few people go up to him, and he just exuded such pride and arrogance that they all came away looking uncomfortable. It wasn't long until people stopped going up to him at all -- and then he started to look visibly upset, which was a further turn-off.

I'm sure he didn't mean to come across the way that he did, but he clearly knew that his costume was great, and his attitude wound up matching that knowledge.

If you see this, OP, take heed. Others might be picking up on your drive for perfection, and it might be what's keeping them away.
