Your examples are aberrations and still don't prove your point. Sumo wrestlers couldn't physically perform the necessary tasks and exercises to perform in the US military, including physical fitness tests. As for weight lifters, they're as much a grab bag as the rest of the population; some could do it and some couldn't. Being able to perform a limited set of competitive physical tasks that have no application outside of those competitions is not the same as physical fitness. Even being able to perform the exercises to standard in the military is not a guarantee that a person is physically fit; being overweight affects a person's health (heart, muscles, kidneys, eyes, etc). If you are so dense that you require sources, ask any medical doctor.
