Eh, it's probably not a good idea to call another person "potato", especially not someone with Down's syndrome or a learning disability, but that seems to be all. Nobody thinks the word 'potato' needs to be completely removed from language (well, I'm sure there's someone somewhere who thinks so, but good luck finding an opinion held by absolutely nobody).
