That picture also broke the page. If they did remake Megan and whatnot, I don't see how that'd be a bad thing. As long as they don't include the mushroom wizard and his rainbow locket (~~Though the elements of harmony are basically the rainbow locket in new shiny G4 style~~)

No. There is no good way to introduce a human into MLP and not have it take a shitdive.

Not all of G1 was awful. Plus Windwhistler was awesome. She's basically the pre-Twilight of the G1 series.

I'm praying to every deity on wikipedia that the Smooze will be the season four opener baddie that the newly crowned Twilight has to take down... but I've been doing that since season one with no luck so far.

I think the writers have to work with what they are given. We have already seen people on the show worried about the mandates. That is why I'm concerned. Not if we ever see Dr. Whooves again. If it is how it was in the first season, everything will be fine.

But Hasbro wasn't involved during that season the way they are now. And their track record is less then wonderful.

Well, if the kids still like it I wouldn't say it's gone down in quality? When I was a kid I liked seeing human girls playing with the G1 ponies, so if current kids like it as well...then there's nothing wrong and no downside?

Megan&Co didn't live in Paradise Valley, though. They came from the 'human world' via Firefly or whatever pegasus was around.

And usually any "human world" story element tends to be bad. I can't remember a cartoon other then Bucky O'Hare where I liked that kind of element.
