In the vein of that thread from a few days ago, I have a challenge: pick just one favorite episode from each season of all your favorite shows.

To make things interesting: two-parters, season premieres, and season finales are NOT allowed. You have to pick a standalone (or, depending on how the show is set up, just one episode of an arc) from the middle of the season. Cheers!

What if it's a show like Sherlock, which one has three episodes per season? We'd only have one ep. per season we can pick.

Hmmm...okay, Sherlock, and shows that don't really do special finales or premieres (like Star Trek TOS, or The Simpsons) are exempt from the rules ;)

For Supernatural... Faith or Hell House in s1, Everybody loves a clown in s2, Mystery Spot in s3, It's a Terrible Life in s4, Changing Channels in s5, My Heart will go On in s6, The Born-Again Identity in s7, and A Little Slice of Kevin in what's played of s8 so far.

Season 5 was REALLY HARD because of Free to Be You and Me and so many others :cc

Well, since I'm back on the Jesse journal, my Breaking Bad favorites:

Season one: Your rules are tough because the pilot and finale are my favorites. >:( But barring those, I'll go with "Crazy Handful of Nothin'" because it's one of the few times I actually respect Walt.

Season two: There are so many good ones... my favorite to rewatch is Better Call Saul, but I think the strongest of the season is Peekaboo, and it's a huge turning point for the series both in quality and in characterization.

Season three: ONE MINUTE WHAT A GREAT FUCKING EPISODE THAT IS.

Season four: Salud! Is so great! For Jesse and Gus, anyway.

Season five: ...isn't over yet! But man Buyout has one of my favorite scenes ever.

Oh fuck you! Actually wait, those rules make it easier....

The Venture Bros. episode where Dr. Nurse and The Monarch get married. It's adorable ♥

Suits' Louis Litt episode where he works with Mike, and Mike is all, "oh hey, i think i can actually like this guy what is this feeling" but then Louis ruins that potential bromance and i just want nice things to happen to Louis auuuughghghh.

The season 1 episode of Heroes, Company Man. HRG ♥ HRG

Evangelion, the one with Touji in one of the EVAs, and Shinji is auto-piloted into pretty much murdering him. ;______;

The Kaiji episode where Sahara dies and everyone dies and nothing is fair just as usual.

The s2 Person of Interest ep where Finch finally admits he might just have some PTSD that keeps him from wanting to leave the library info loft.

The Dream of Love episode of Adventure Time and also the one where Finn sings that "What Am I To You" song. I really like the episodes with songs. Really really like them.
