Is this what you are asking for? If not, I will go hide in a corner, ~~or alternatively either blame the fact that it is getting late or the fact that English is my second language..~~

- The Hunger Games (but I am not so sure if I want to, the fandom seems scary)

The only thing I should get around to reading is anything JRR Tolkien (to be fair I have read most of it before, but 10 years is a long time and I don't remember much not even if I ever finished Lord of The Rings)

That's it! I should totally finish LOTR...I just got through Fellowship and the Hobbit GN.

Hunger Games isn't too bad, though I ignore the fandom, especially for the film.

I have started reading The Hobbit, it is taking time though. I've gotten to the second chapter. But the amount of spoilers I've gotten for the damn book is kinda putting me off.

I probably will, I'm not big on fandom that isn't fanfiction or F!S. But thanks for the warning.

The Hunger Games is worth it, but I'd avoid the fandom. It basically all revoles around Peeniss shippers, and their bitching about Gale and this and that.

Don't watch Supernatural

It doesn't matter who ends up your favourite character or your favourite ship. The fandom will eat you alive.

I know the Supernatural fandom, I will avoid it.

You don't understand. It doesn't matter if you don't join the fandom, if you so much as watch it, you'll still be eaten alive no matter what. Trust me, it's my own personal experience.

And lmao it's not that great of a show really. I don't think it's all very brilliant.

Oddly enough people keep telling me it starts sucking, and I still want to watch it... I dunno why though, I did start a couple of months ago, got three episodes in and stopped.

It does start sucking... but the first seasons are utterly brilliant, for what they are. If you walk in expecting something a little silly but with a lot of heart, you'll probably like it well enough? At least speaking from personal experience; I love the first seasons with a passion. I can't recommend anything past season 5 (and that is iffy in some respects, but that's the point where they were originally going to cut it off and with a bit of hand-waving you can headcanon that it ended there - that's what I do). From what I've seen of the later seasons (admittedly not as much as I probably should have seen) and heard from friends whose opinion I trust, they take the show off in a different direction and essentially change the characters so much it's a different show. YMMV, of course.

I'll admit I'm a bit butthurt and hate what the show's become, but the "old" show is still one of my favorites of all time.

And my problem is I can't stop watching a show (I am still watching Bones, and I have basically hated on that show for like 3 seasons now)...

Yeah, I can see how that would make it difficult! I don't know if it would work to watch the show as two separate shows, so to speak, before and after they change it? That's the only way I'll ever watch it, if I end up giving the later seasons a proper shot.

I know you aren't, she isn't really online in Fandoms...

I dunno? I'll figure it out someday, I got 100s of other shows/things to do in the near future anyway... And if people could tag ALL their damn Supernatural stuff on tumblr. I could get less spoilers... Same with the Hobbit for that matter but, different discussion.
