There I said it. I don't know if I've lead some crazy charmed life but they've never irritated or bothered me. I never really notice them unless a non-furry links. Don't get why they're the internet's punching bag. We're hardly starving for choice here.

Furry hate was an SA thing before it was a 4chan thing, I believe.

Although for stuff that far back, it can be a little hard to date. But it was, I would say, a fairly common sentiment in those parts of the Internet at that time. Probably at least in part because furries used to be a lot more... forthright about things.

Furries made for a good CSI episode once! Other than that I've never been bothered by them so I don't care either.

I haven't either? unless they're actually practicing bestiality (which is NOT exclusive to the furry fandom) I really don't give a fuck. I'm kind of surprised so many people do. Unless they think that furries = bestiality but unfortunately "minority = whole group" is not an uncommon attitude...

Furries bug me because they tend to be really annoying people more often than those in other fandoms.

However, this has nothing to do with the furry aspect; it just seems to be a type of person attracted to furry itself. Furry didn't make them that way in other words.

Yeah this and it's not internet furries that have made me feel that way; it's the real-life furries I've known that have all acted skeevy. Like the one who always used to wear her pink dog collar to work and had tons of public facebook photos where she was pretending to be a puppy at home and getting other people to pet her, etc.

Deviantart soured me on a lot of things tbh. Some of the most annoying people had the shittiest furry or inflation art and now I'm like, losers, losers all of you.

Pretty much what other's have said, which is kind of sad. Aside from hearing some unsavory stuff about said minority, all the furries I've met [or heard of] have actually been pretty nice, and accepting.

Because much like the sonic fandom (and there's overlap. Heavy overlap) they produce some of the worst people.

This can't be true, can it? If so, then I feel horribly sorry for that poor kid who can't decide for himself whether it wants to be a furry or not.

Mm, no. obvious troll is obvious. CPS doesn't breathe down homeschooler's necks as much as it used to, but it is still harassing and attempting to intimidate good parents. If this were real, not only would no hs community tolerate it, I'm sure the government would be trying to call as much attention to it as they could. They've been trying to prove homeschoolers are abusing and depriving their children despite overwhelming evidence that homeschooled kids generally learn better and thrive more, compared to school kids.

Because there aren't apeshit crazy people in any other fandoms/internet subcultures.

They're kind of strange, and they do a lot of dumb shit, and I wish they wouldn't. But definitely the old Internet prejudice about them is a little extreme.
