Thank you for giving it the perfect name. It fits perfectly with the feeling I get of being trampled on by wildebeests whenever fandom fixes itself onto the latest white dude pairing in whatever film/show happens to be popular for the next fifteen minutes.

for sure, i just find it harder to place it in a timeline bc i was a bb fan. it's vaguer.

but harry potter & lotrips for the very beginning of the '00s, yus. i don't know if there was much migration back then, tho? it *felt* like everything was revolving around hp and lotr for years.

Oh true. I was remembering people who ragequit HP after each book came out but I guess the new people made up for them. Until the last book, I guess. Things started slowing down a lot quicker after that.
