Question for prom-goers

So this is my senior year, and I'm planning a dress-hunting road trip for prom. I'm trying to get everything settled way in advance. So how early can we take the trip--that is to say, how early should we go? We're headed to designer outlets in Massachusetts. How early do you think they would have full-length dresses in?

Also, how early are you supposed to reserve appointments at salons? My mom doesn't have any idea and my friends are a bit clueless to.

I don't live in Massachusetts, but they'd probably have dresses in stock a month before your prom.

I'm pretty sure I booked my salon appointment a month before my senior ball.

So yeah, pretty much do everything a month in advance?

If you have a salon in mind, you could call them now and ask when would be the earliest you could call back and book an appointment for the day you want.

As for the dresses, if you live someplace where there are any stores that sell prom dresses, you could watch and see when those shops start getting formal dresses in stock and then try to get your shopping trip underway soon after that. I bet it starts pretty early.
