It doesn't have to be a bad discussion here to stir up wank somewhere else. I'm not sure how things are now but it used to be that fs secrets and threads were linked to tvtropes, somethingawful, fandom wank and encyclopedia dramatica regularly for mocking. Lots of smaller sites were doing that too and it was one of the reasons why fs was so huge years ago with lots of trolls and wank.

One of the regulars had their secret shat on on tumblr a few months ago, I think? Iirc the thread here was pretty tame with only a couple of comments but apparently people were blowing gaskets over there. If the op wasn't anonymous I'm sure people would have sent them lots and lots of flames. AY wasn't anonymous though and so I worry.

TL;DR - people are dicks and bullies don't have to be regular visitors of your playground to make your life hell.
