Ah, not really. The story is pretty straight forward. Dracula's wife was murdered by an angry mob. He takes their daughter and flees, promising her dead wife that he will always protect her. He creates the Hotel Transylvania, a place where monsters can be without humans. His daughter, however, is finally an adult in their years and wants to see the world/humans. Dracula tricks her into staying, and everything seems to be fine until a human finds his hotel. The human, after realizing the hotel is full of monsters, freaks out and ends up knocking into his daughter. They "zing" which is basically this movie's version of soulmates.

The rest of the movie is Dracula trying to get the human out of the hotel and his eventual acceptance of him/the relationship between the daughter and the human.

Honestly I love the movie a lot. Yes it has some issues, but it has a lot of heart.

I'm not that fond of Sandler, but that plot sounds pretty adorable.
I might check this out, as well.

It is really adorable. I really like that the 'soulmate' thing has a legitimate reason passed "omg, he's so hawt!"

SPOILERS!!

The daughter really wants to travel and see the world. The human who finds the motel is a backpacker and does nothing but travel to different places.
