Re: Squish pairing names
I'm not so fond of Rysposito as a portmanteau, but I can't think of any alternatives that are better. I see some people use Javin for Javier/Kevin, but we so rarely hear Ryan and Esposito go by their first names that it just looks weird. And at least Rysposito I can shorten in my head to Rice, which is kind of amusing.
But I really don't like that people portmanteau Raley and Ochoa (the Ryan/Esposito counterparts in Castle's books) to Roach. I haven't actually read the Nikki Heat books, though, and one fic (of Ryan/Espo reading Nikki Heat fanfic) kind of makes me wonder if there's a canonical basis for that.
