(Anonymous) 2013-01-31 03:46 am (UTC)(link)I'd feel the way Juliet says she feels. She thinks he just doesn't like her that much. Everyone they know thinks that. It's established that his behavior comes across as negative. But cold and unpleasant, to me, implies he's being insulting or hostile to her. I think that's why it's easy for her to understand him later. She doesn't have to forgive him for being nasty, just afraid to talk to her. (He did really nice things for her as a bride.)
It sucks for her to feel like he doesn't like her, but part of the resolution is him fixing that. Now he's going to be friendly because he's not hiding the secret.
