I agree with your point about Danny not meaning to hurt people. What that man is is blunt. He doesn't dance around things and yes, he does get ranty; that's how he deals with things. (I'm not saying that's the best way to deal with things, but most people seem to take Danny's words with a grain of salt, and Steve himself frequently smiles or smirks at him whist he's saying these things. So I don't think he often offends people, and definitely not Steve.) If Danny wasn't ranty those closest to him would probably think him ill.

And yea, Steve can def take it and sometimes Danny DOES have a point. (I'm thinking of Steve blowing that door off with a grenade and Danny telling him he needs help. The shit that goes on in this show often IS insane, and the fact that Danny occasionally points that out makes it easier for me to handle it.)

I love Danny when he rants, and Steve's reactions to Danny ranting, as you mentioned the smiling thing. It is just a way for Danny to get rid of adrenalin and the fear of death that usually is what happens before/during his rants and so on. And Steve knows this, everyone in Hawaii probably knows it by now. (And hey Ranting is a lot better than hitting people!)

Danny always have a point when he yells at Steve (Oh God that was seriously over the top. Same for me, when Danny yells at Steve for doing insane stuff, it makes me know that the writers know that what they are doing is insane.)

I forgot I made one! I really need to finish making icons for the s01ep02 so I can get some different icons...

For sure, people that know Danny know that it's a way to relieve stress. At this point Danny's ranting seems to be comforting for Steve too. It's such a familiar occurrence that when Danny starts ranting Steve knows that everything is going to be okay and nothing has changed irreparably.

I'd say most the time he does. Sometimes he seems to do it more for fun than anything else because that's what gets him (and Steve, too) going.

As a ranter myself I totally get where Steve is comming from, sometimes it is nice to rant for the sake of ranting. And everyone around me knows I'm not as angry as I sound...

Sometimes it is nice to get things off your chest, right? That's how I see it. Danny is incapable of holding things in, in a way most people do. Now if people dislike that, they dislike it, but...I don't think he could quit even if he wanted to. (And his friends wouldn't want him to.)

Plus, yea, like you, I don't think Danny is half as angry as he sometimes sounds.

Did I facilitate this? I feel like I did. And that makes me proud.

Yup, and he has a good reason, with his problems with the custody and "almost getting blown up every other day" thing I would yell and rant and be generally pretty annoyed too... I understand that some people might find it annoying, but I personally don't.

He isn't because then he would have probably hit Steve for smirking at his ranting... It is a good coping method though.

Kinda, the me actually using more than one icon thing yes! The me making icons not so much, that was me not wanting to spend hours trying to find correct icons. So instead I spent hours making them and I am still no closer to making the icon I was originally thinking of making...

Me either, but...*shrugs* I probably wouldn't last a day with the team's jobs, so I can totally understand his frustration and worry.

Yea, true. He did it at the first of the series but I don't recall him doing it again after that. He stuck to the ranting.

In my experience that's pretty normal. You want to make one thing, then you find another thing, then another, and eventually you forget about the first thing, or you can't get it to work so you move onto something else. I think I've already asked you, but what exactly did you want? Maybe I can cap it if you can't find a screencap.

When Danny hit Steve was the moment I started liking Danny.

The thing with not thinking in images is that it is slightly hard to actually know what you want before you see it again. But thank you for the offer!
