I haven't played the games, I'm just mad they completely changed Dante's personality and his look. Plus after reading a thorough rebuttal to your type of thinking, I can't like new Dante because he doesn't have a character, he just does stuff, he has beliefs he doesn't stick to or doesn't live up to, plus he looks like an emokid and apparently the game studio can't write a story for shit. At least original Dante liked to mess around and didn't look like the director was trying to live vicariously through him.

His personality is completely on-par with his DMC3 personality! I don't know how he didn't live up to what he believed in/stood for, because at the start of the game he didn't care about anyone or anything and through the course of the game he developed as a character. For a re-boot I thought it was very well done.

I don't consider them the same person... It also doesn't help that new Dante looks like the director from Ninja Theory who looks like a giant douche.

OK so everyone is upset because he doesn't look or act the same as he did in the old games? And it's a REBOOT? lmao okay.

I don't really care, but I thought the controls were fluid and it was well voice acted. Not the omgbestgameevar! but it wasn't as blasphemous and horrible as everyone on the interwebs wants you to believe.

It's one thing that his look and personality are completely different compared to his DMC3 and 4 incarnations, but Donte (and Vorgil) is so... incredibly repulsive, both physically and personality wise.
