I didn't see it in the first season, at all; nor did I see any realistic redemption arcs for Regina on the horizon.

Both of those opinions completely changed in season two. (I still don't even *like* the pairing, or want her redeemed, but it's much more plausible now that the writing and actors are teasing it.) The showrunners didn't anticipate the fanbase these two would get, I'm guessing.

Anywho, just in case this secret was rec fishing, I've got this:
