Honestly they've both been getting on my nerves. Especially Gamzee since at least Caliborn's storyline and fate are interesting to me.

To be fair the alpha kids were also annoying me but now that they're sitting on their quest beds things are getting a lot more interesting :B

Gamzee is not interesting to me outside of shipping him really hard with Terezi and Karkat.

That probably makes me shallow or something??

But I just wanna say that this current part, with the quest beds and the split screen and just everything going on right now is probably my favorite part of the whole story so far.

Also because a friend is reading for the first time, I've been re-reading older parts and it's renewed my excitement for the story a lot. (OP, maybe you should try that? Unless you like your current interest level of course.)

Gamzee was boring to me when he was introduced, got interesting around the time he started to go crazy, and was amusing and somewhat interesting when his fake GT act started, but since then it's gotten old and he's gotten boring again. lol.

The split screen is annoying because my comp is too small lol. This is kind of a lull in the story for me. I'm largely tired of Jake and Jane (especially Jake, but both of them to a degree).

Aww. Yeah I'm on a tiny monitor too but idk I just really like the tone of it all. And I liked the Jane-Dirk conversations and the stuff Roxy said about Rose made me cry. It's definitely a lull but I feel like that's what we needed after TRICKSTERS and before...the stuff that's about to happen.

I guess what I meant by "lull" was more like...this whole sub-act or whatever it is? idk, just not as interesting to me right now. This conversation is better than most of it. I'm getting tired of the alpha kids' drama, but at least now they're hashing it out? Sort of?

I still want to give Jake a good smack upside the head. A huge part of the fact that the drama exists, more than half I'd say, is because he's being a dumbass/cowardly/self-centered, etc.

This is pretty much how I feel about him as well. I'm not entirely sure why he has the number and intensity of fans that he does.

Hussie takes away Aradia, Sollux, Equius, Nepeta, Feferi, Tavros, Vriska, and Eridan, and just shoves the clown on us constantly?
Ugh. No thanks.

Hell, Kurloz was far more tolerable. Why not him?

Well, I hated Eridan pretty much from the beginning so I wasn't complaining about that lol. Kurloz isn't really interesting to me yet, he's pretty one-D (I think most of the newer [older?] trolls are just going to be that way since they're not as important)

Gamzee was boring, then got interesting, then got boring again, but I never hated him. But he's really starting to get on my nerves now.

...um? Was this a misfire or something? I wasn't replying to an anon, I was replying to a signed in person who replied to me first, and I was sharing my opinion on a thread in a comm that's basically all about sharing opinions...nor was I rude or dissing them for the characters they like/don't like...

At first glance the secret made me think of the key fetch-quest in Deadly Premonitions. Hmmmmmm, a crossover between Deadly Premonitions and Homestuck. I don't think there's any words to describe how much of a mind-screw that would be.
