Sorry about that, I deleted the comment because of the spoilers. I thought most people in the comm had either seen it already or didn't care about spoilers (I asked about it a while back) so I didn't think anything of leaving them.

Again, sorry that I spoiled you. :(

As for you question...I have no idea.

Don't worry about spoiling me (though props for seeking to shield other interested parties), as I've only seen a couple episodes and am not invested in the show. I was just like, "...huh?" based on my limited understanding of the show.

Whew, I'm at least glad you weren't heavily invested in the series and super excited about the finale. I hope I didn't spoil (m)any others but I was a butthead and warning for spoilers slipped my mind.

I think in the early episodes (or even seasons) the show could've been viewed as a prequel of sorts, but as it came to a close it became clear that wasn't what was meant to be. Not sure what the show-runners said about the series themselves, so I'm not sure if you're supposed to know from the start that the series is a retelling.
