Not really?

Most people I know worry that their previous promiscuous partner (...now that I think about it, I have a surprisingly larger number of friends that fit this description) will LEAVE them - not that they'll CHEAT on them.

Your wrong. It's pretty normal in a relationship between someone who has a lot of no-strings-attached hook ups and a person who has only had a few (or no) serious relationships, for the person who has less experience to be less trusting about how serious the more experienced person is in their relationship.
