I think that this is a decision that is completely up to you, and I think you have to do whatever you need to do to be healthy and happy. For some people, that's coming out because they can't handle the psychic stress of keeping a secret like from people they love. For others, that's keeping their orientation to themselves because they can't handle the psychic stress of negative reactions from loved ones. And both are equally valid choices.

I don't forsee me ever telling my parents that I'm bisexual and that I've had relationships with women in the past before I met my husband because I know they would react very poorly; they would never get over it (they've never gotten over me and my husband living together before we got married or me leaving their Southern Baptist church or voting Democrat, for example), and nothing good would come of the revelation. They would shun me or be ugly to me or try to intervention!pray over me or whatever, and I would have panic attacks every five minutes and it would make me ill.
