I'm thinking of just posting a link to my Facebook account. Since I just flat out don't have time for non-school these days, I've been keeping mostly to FB since it's easier. Would that be an F!S faux-pas? I know a lot of internet folk don't want to link their RL stuff with their OL stuff.

I don't think anyone would particularly mind, but I personally wouldn't do it because paranoia and not wanting to mix real life with fandom life (and there have been times when I've been, so, so grateful for sticking to this self-inflicted rule)

I mean, what if a future boss or whatever googles your name and finds all the weird sites you hang out? or if someone internet detectives you and stalks you and etc.

Pretty much this. I don't see why anyone would mind (that seems silly), but just make sure you aren't going to regret it later, you know?

If you don't think it will be a problem, then by all means, go ahead! Lots of people don't mind mixing their fandom life with their RL (though as anon said, there are lots of people on the opposite side of the spectrum too). Do whatever best suits you.

(I don't have a facebook, or at least a 'real' one. And I no longer use the fake ones, so... not sure I'm the best person to ask about this. Still, those are my thoughts on the matter.)
