I agree with you, also I've just left a comment to this effect but whilst giving lifts etc is a nice gesture, it doesn't make for a nice person, I've learnt that more than once. Also I think I'm a nice person, but I would give a lift to someone who needed it even if I loathed them, I just don't see the connection really, offering a lift is a basic thing to do, can't have people stuck somewhere, no matter what I think of them.
