Brenda does the Olympics. As lifelong Bond fan I am not ashamed to admit it was way better than Skyfall and its two predecessors. If they'd all had a bit more of that campery and humour then they would have been much better movies.

I loved the hell out of Skyfall, but I would also love a feature-film-length expansion of that sketch. Bond and Her Majesty would make the best bitch-faces at each other.

I just rewatched the Opening Ceremony last night and the whole thing was so much fun, this segment included! I loved that whole attitude of not being afraid to poke fun at themselves or take themselves too seriously.

My favourite part of the sketch is Daniel Craig's expressions throughout. His hidden smirk just shows he's thinking, "Oh my god it's the queen I'm acting with the bloody Queen."

I adore Skyfall but I think this skit was amazing and one of my favourite things about the wonderful opening ceremony. Danny Boyle is so clever, it was just a genius idea, and what a great sport The Queen is. The corgis as well, bless them.

It was awesome though. I gotta admit, I thought the ceremony would be an unmitigated disaster (I know, ye of little faith), but I was actually really impressed. This was one of the highlights for me. :3
