I almost rarely do this, but there was this one time where I made a secret on a stupid pairing and ended up too embarrassed to see the comments. (Bad image placement + bad English = Total embarrassment).

I do the same, mostly for personal secrets that are actually secrets. For those, which I admit are rare, it's more about just getting it out there. Therapeutic. And it's way too personal or I'm way too sensitive about it to read the comments.

i do this exclusively, 100% of the time...even if most commens end up being understanding and kind, i can't deal with random 'you're a fuckwit' anon comments and feel like i need to defend myself

but all my secrets have been "get it off your chest" type of things

I think a lot of people consider something like this akin to a "Q and A" community, where the secrets are all a request for opinions. Even though they aren't.

Whether you see it or not, good for you, for not seeking validation constantly from random people on the internet.
