Maybe OP can't unfollow 'cause the rude one is one of those people who calls out unfollowers?

I personally wouldn't give a shit, but I imagine many people don't like being called out for unfollowing a big name who is supposedly nice.

... If they call out unfollowers, isn't it pretty clear they're not all that nice? It seems incredibly entitled, at least, and while I'd feel pretty uncomfortable if someone tried to shame me like that, I figure anyone who does that wouldn't be worth following in any case.

This.

Anyone who is so upset about an unfollow that they publicly announce it has some issues. I wouldn't want to follow someone like that in the first place.

Plus...it's tumblr, why would you even give a shit?

seriously, just unfollow and unmark anonymous asks

block and report harassers

if they follow you offsite via your username, do the same in the other sites

seriously, what are they gonna do, track down your home and send a hired assassin?

lmao, I HOPE not. That's going a bit far, I think.

But this is very good advice and OP should take it if they choose to unfollow the person in question.

However, hopefully no one would actually go to that much effort over an unfollow. That's pathetic and beyond rude.

ITA agree with all of this.

Yes. Do all of this. And I even Tumblr Savior usernames of people who have given me trouble or I might think give me trouble so I don't have to see them come across my dash.

Hearing this makes so happy. I couldn't have even imagined there were people out there pathetic enough to throw tantrums over an unfollow, and to try to sic their followers on them.

Even funnier is that they don't even have enough insight to realize that revealing that people are unfollowing them just makes *them* look like more of a loser.
