Damn that hair. When I was a kid, I used to watch my hair flutter underwater because it almost got that look to it... haha.

I know right? I've always been so jealous of her hair. I have long hair but it never looks that good in the wind.

And I totally did that too in the pool. My hair just made my head look like an octopus.

This makes me think of that bumper sticker/piece of flair on Facebook: "Disney gave me unrealistic expectations about hair."

My hair was in a bob and even I tried it. I was going more for an Ariel vibe, though (which is weird, because I had black hair).

Ahaha, I haven't seen that but of course that exists. Of course it does.

Pfff, hair colors got nothin' to do with it. It's all about who you wanna be. So be Ariel. You can do it. I was going for any kind of vibe, really. I got octopus. At least you didn't get octopus?

To jump threads from another secret, I would try to burst out of the water with my tiny little bosom pointed toward the sky like Ariel with varying degrees of success. LOL

Pocohontas's hair is awesome. That is some trufax.

I spent ages perfecting that trick when I was a kid. Along with a lot of other tricks that came largely from watching too many mermaid movies.

Being able to do that, and the hair thing, was fun. And being able to swim with my legs closed was even more fun because I got to freak out all the parents at the pool when they realized I was swimming around with my hands and legs literally bound together with diving rings. :D

I was a particularly ridiculous child in that respect. >:)

Ahahahahaahahahhahha. I still do the swimming with my legs closed thing, especially when I'm swimming for exercise. I'll alternate some laps where I'm swimming only with my arms to focus on upper body strength. I wish we had a pool that's open year round because I could go for some swimming about now. :(

Reasons Why I Love My Hair

Between Ariel and Pocahontas, I was furious every time my mother made me cut my hair. My hair will sometimes do Disney stuff like that naturally and when it was nice and long that was a fucking awesome thing to have dangling from my scalp. I fought argued against the haircuts every time I was dragged to the barber.

Ironically, once my mom stopped trying to make me cut my hair, I preferred it short. My hair is really long, now, for the first time in years, and being able to do Disney Princess hair tricks and styles again is fucking awesome. :D (Not to mention I get to easily do a lot of other fancy styles from other places - Katara!hair FTW!)

(I should add that my hair in the profile pic is several years old).
