I mean, we call it cable cause it's literally cable. I think we kinda assumed that was what it was called everywhere.

(Anonymous) 2013-02-12 03:48 am (UTC)(link)honestly don't know. if i was trying to set up paid tv channels I'd...just go in and ask for the paid channel i want. i think they give us a special boxtop to receive the correct channels...I'd honestly assume it was satellite unless they said otherwise
i guess, maybe, I'd call it a landline? I guess?
not meaning to cause any offence or anything, just baffled by a term sicne i wasn't sure what i was meant to be picturing for cable tv. so literally a cable for tv channels. hmmmmm
