Re: Best "Much Ado About Nothing" adaptations?

I love this version of Much Ado About Nothing. I think it's very adorable and sweet. Kenneth Branagh is a really good Shakespearean director. He brings out the best of Shakespeare's play and makes it very accessible to the masses. It's also not set in present time. (I do have to say tho that not all of the play is in this adaption. He does cut parts out, for time, but it's still a great adaption.)

Seconding this. I can't stand Shakespeare but I love that film. It's funny and entertaining and good for mixed audiences (I'm assuming high school age students are still pretty evenly split on either loving or hating Shakespeare).

I love this version. Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh are magic together.

Another vote for this. Kenneth Branagh doing the bird noises in the hedge is one of the funniest things I've seen in my life. The entire cast is like a dream come true and the whole thing is perfectly acted.
