Curse of Chucky-Why

(Anonymous) 2013-02-13 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
So, it was announced a while ago that the next Child's Play film will be named "Curse of Chucky" and will be a straight-to-DVD release. That'd be great and all, but there's one huge issue-It's a gaping plothole in the continuity. It doesn't take place after Seed.

The story takes place after the third movie, and has Chucky terrorizing a family attending a funeral. I know it's supposed to bring Chucky back to its horror roots, but really? How can Chucky be walking around? At the end of 3 he is slashed into pieces. In Bride Tiffany sews him back together. I guess it only makes sense if this movie is an alternate reality where Bride/Seed never happened. Meh.
