only tangentially related, but a old friend of mine is obsessed with the salaries of her friends and especially her boyfriend. It's really sad, like her life isn't going how she wanted and that's all she can figure out to focus on. Since I'm unemployed and couldn't care less what my professional friends make, it's like we have nothing to talk about :(
