Honestly, I'm quite tired of Rumpelstiltskin. It's like the writers are so impressed they managed to create a character who wasn't completely obvious and one dimensional as the rest (and I do love the rest) that they decided he needs to be in EVERYTHING. And fandom is so impressed by Robert Carlyle, who is a decent actor, because most of the other actors are pretty stunted emotionally.

DA. I agree so much. At first Rumpel was my favorite character and I still love Robert Carlyle, but the show relies on his acting talent too much and they don't actually give him plots that make sense.

Like I could tolerate in the beginning when they expanded his role to be in other fairy tales, but he didn't need to be the beast and the crocodile and all the other shit they made him. Remember when he was just evil and would giggle a lot? I miss those days.
