... Or, to be more precise, I agree that way too often it seems to be used to belittle social justice activists who happen to be straight, white, young and female (sometimes the 'young' isn't even necessary), and who say something the recipient doesn't want to hear. If someone is wrong, it should be easy to point out how they are wrong without making it about the person rather than what they say, and if they're right, what's the problem? (Except in cases where the discussion is actually taken over by people not affected by the form of discrimination in question.)
