But yeah his death isn't even that great. I think it's pretty obvious he could have taken Lucifer down if he wanted to, but in the end, he was still too scared to do it. His 'trick' wasn't even that great, not at all on par with his usual cleverness, especially as Loki.

Maybe Dean should've stuck around. He was the one who convinced Gabriel to stand up to his family, after all.

On the other hand, yay, Gabriel love :D

I fucking love Gabriel. There have been rumors about him coming back every season since, and while I understand intellectually that that would be a horrible idea in terms of plot-consistency, I WANT HIM BACK SO BAD OH GOD SOB SOB.

Also although I know Sam/Gabriel is a thing, I really really like the few Dean/Gabriel fics I've read. It is like one of my Supernatural OTP's. (multiple OTP's? that doesn't work, does it?)

If he does come back, I hope he does so as in 'getting resurrected from the dead' and not 'been in hiding all along'. Imagine how upset Dean would be after it turned out that his words never really got to Gabriel. I think a lot of people miss how important Dean was to Gabriel.

WOOHOO DEAN/GABRIEL SHIPPER HIGH FIVE! I adore that ship with all my heart. If Gabriel had ever joined Team Free Will I could so see it as becoming canon.

How do you manage to watch Supernatural at all? EVERYBODY dies, and with the exception of the two main characters and Cas, they usually stay dead.

Right. That makes four. Benny and Garth and Kevin are also still alive, but I wouldn't be surprised if they got killed at some point in the near future, especially Benny.

Meg is still the only female character that hasn't kicked the bucket. One of the single worst aspects of the show is how there's little to no supporting cast, it's really needed.

Garth can die but goddammit Benny is awesome and I want him to stay around :(

Is Meg still alive? At the end of the last season she was dragged off to parts unknown, presumably to be killed, but have they mentioned her after that? And agreed on Garth and Benny.

I'm fairly certain nothing's been said, but I doubt they'd kill her off offscreen, and even if she were dead, she's still the only character aside from the Winchesters to survive 7 seasons.

As someone who still hasn't started S5 in the week since I submitted this, this thread is confusing the heck out of me. I'm assumin most of this is spoilers?

(Although I do know of Crowley because of the GO connection.)

(Oh and I really miss Ash as well is that relevant here.)

Just skip the damn episode and get on with it if you want to avoid it so much. Tbh, hotg is one of my favourite episodes, Dean is a darling in it, but if it's really affecting you, then whatever.

Otherwise, yeah I miss Ash too! He was so epic can't believe how few episodes he got. Benny is (spoilers)a good vampire Dean met in Purgatory. Dean falls into Purgatory fighting Leviathans. Which were released from Purgatory when Cas became God. (end spoilers) It's a long story. You still have two+ seasons to go

Oh, I'm not avoiding the season; I've just been home for about twenty minutes all week due to work. Perhaps there shall be more secrets when I do watch it.

Benny is the single best sing to have happened to this show since ... season five, I think. And he's vastly underused. :/

So skip 5x19 and enjoy the rest of the season! It's the best of the whole series, IMO.
