Condoms *are* sexy, yes! If a condom appears, that means sexy times are going to happen. I've never found condoms to be a turn-off in fic or RL. Condoms = sex, therefore condoms = hot. Plus, I find it really endearing if anyone fumbles with the condom or has to scramble around to find one.

Yeah, I agree and I also personally like them when dealing with situations that can get very messy.

Plus, sometimes characters find an imaginative and way to put them on. There's an Avengers fic I remember with a Fem!Tony where she put a condom on in a way that was both sexy and made me laugh. It made the whole scene more enjoyable

People who 'don't find condoms sexy' are deeply stupid and often abusive (and incidentally their attitude 'sex is sexier with no protection' feeds straight into the huge rate of STIs). I'm completely unsurprised at their response.
