Was Theon actually raped though? I only got about halfway through the 5th book cause it was such a snooze fest but all the spoilers I've read indicated he was tortured and highly likely castrated but not raped.

He was forced to go down on Ramsay's bride.

There is a scene where both he and Jeyne are raped, albeit not in a penetrative way.

It's been a while since I read book 5...but...isn't he forced to perform a sex act on Ramsay's bride? Although I don't know if you could call that rape from Theon's POV. I definitely got the sense he was reluctant though. Although Theon had it "easy" compared to the girl of course.

He's unwilling and forced into it. It's definitely rape.

I would accept that, I just wasn't sure if I was defining it correctly at first, hence I wasn't sure if you could use the word rape. The fact that he was unwilling is enough for me but I didn't want to diminish what was happening to the bride as well. Basically, even with my general enjoyment of good villains I don't get how anyone could like Ramsay after shit like that.

Ehh...I'd hesitate to start a 'who had it worse' sort of comparison when it comes to two people being raped.

Yeah sorry, as I said above I was just worried about anyone thinking I was diminishing what was happening to the girl in the situation.

In addition to the wedding night thing, there is something heavily sexual about the way Ramsay talks to Theon (calling him "my Reek" while getting into his personal space etc.). So while it doesn't explicitly say that Ramsay held Theon down and raped him, it's at least a very distinct possibility.

Ehhh, I think it'd be hard to deny there wasn't some uncomfortable sexual undertones to the whole Ramsay/Reek situation.
